The Sony DTX-10 is a digital audio tape car stereo combined with FM/AM PLL synthesizer tuner.

The DTX-10 is the only in-car DAT player produced by Sony.

In addition to being a DAT player and AM/FM radio, it could also control a Sony CD changer.

DAT cassette player section
• The Digital Audio Tape player offers excellent sound quality.
• 8-times-18bit over-sampling digital filter
• The AMS (Automatic Music Sensor) function allows you to locate the beginning of a selection quickly.
• The Intro Play function plays the first ten seconds of each selection.
• The Repeat Play function enables a repeat play of the selection you are now listening to.
•The Skip Play function enables you to skip any portion that you prefer not to listen to.

Tuner section
• SSIR (Sony Super Interference Rejection) PLL Synthesizer tuner
• The Automatic Memory function stores a total of 24 stations in memory quickly and easily.
• The Memory Scan function scans preset stations for five seconds each in order.
• The extended range in AM band (530-1,710 kHz)
