Kenwood DX-7 DAT Recorder
Introduction
The Kenwood DX-7 is a portable DAT recorder.
The DX-7 is a very compact design using a newly designed rotating drum which, together with extensive use of multilayer circuits, allowed for a reduction in the overall size of the unit.
Using single-bit conversion technology, the DX-7 was supplied as a digital-only record/conventional playback unit with a wired 'remote' control.
An optional A/D converter pack with an integral battery charger was also available, called the BP-A7, which attaches to the DX-7, enabled recordings to be made from analogue sources.
The DX-7 originally cost 499.95 GBP and the BP-A7 was 149.95 GBP.
